use of cartoons by independent non profit organisations

Independent non profit organisations can publish low resolution versions of INKCINCT cartoons on their websites free of charge providing they have a link to the INKCINCT website directly below any cartoon they use and they notify me via email when they first start using them.

This free use of cartoons on websites does not apply to Independent non profit organisations whose sole purpose is to act as a news outlet.

Fees apply for the use of INKCINCT cartoons by non profit organisations in printed publications, but at a heavily discounted rate. Prices vary depending on the size of the publication, how often cartoons are published and the number of cartoons used, but can be as little as $8 (Australian) a cartoon.

More information on pricing is available upon request.

See the CONTACT webpage for contact details. Note that If you wish to purchase a cartoon then it is helpful to supply information such as your intended book print run, newspaper's circulation figure when making your initial enquiry.

definition of an independent non profit organisation
My definition of an independent non profit organisation is any not for profit group that has one or more of the following criteria :-
  • Employs some paid staff.
  • Pay some contributors for articles or artwork they use.
  • Receive government or other significant sources of funding.
  • Have adds or sponsorship logos in their magazine or on their website.
  • Have the potential to be or have been bought and sold as a business.
There is a large grey area as to what constitutes a community group, non profit organisation and commercial organisation. If you are unsure of your organisation's status in regards to using INKCINCT cartoons then please email a description of your organisation and circumstances for clarification.
